If you're contemplating a Mac mini purchase, stay tuned for at least one out-of-the-box config with 512 megabyes of RAM instead of the now-standard, woefully inadequate 256 megs. That may be coming to Apple retail stores as soon as next week, I've been told.
The advantage here: All memory fits into one internal slot and not two, giving you the flexibility to go for a full gigabyte of RAM in the future without having to awkwardly dispose of memory previously purchased.
Update: Hmm, alert blog readers tell me I'm off the mark on the mini having two memory slots. I'm verifying, but I appear to have egg on my face with this one...
