Symantec gets the bloated-box boobie prize

Symantec, shame on you.

In the most bloated example of tech-product packaging I've seen in years, the security-software maker has strong-armed its way onto retail-store shelves with a gargantuan Norton 360 box containing...one disc in a slim case, one pamphlet and two informational cards, along with lots of cardboard and empty space.

As other tech-product purveyors such as Apple move to compact and environmentally friendly packaging for software and hardware, Symantec is an anachronism.

For shame.
