I flash my iPhone, have at the new features

S_2

I just flashed my iPhone. And while the operating-system improvements aren't earthshattering, they're cool and useful.

I love how the maps app quickly pinpointed my location (the San Francisco Apple store). I could then drop a pin on that spot for future reference.

Dragging around home-page icons is pretty fun (I love the wiggling-icon effect that signals drag-and-drop mode). And adding Web clips to the home-page icons looks to be awfully handy.

But while loading the phone with rental movies is the best part of all, I still can't find any rental flicks on the iTunes Store.

Comments

Dunno yet, I brought every version of the iPod on this trip except a Touch, so I'll get to the update on Thursday when I return.

I'm a new iPod Touch owner and am not exactly happy I need to shell out $20 for updated firmware. Is it worth it?
